According to police and fire radio communications, two football players suffered stab wounds on Saturday morning. It is currently unclear as to who they are.
All we know right now is that these two football players were transported to the UAB hospital and their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening. They are both in stable condition.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue reported to the Football Operations Building on campus before noon on Saturday. The exact time was not announced.
Regardless of when the incident occurred, the 3-7 Blazers will now be without three players for their final home game of the season against the 7-3 University of South Florida Bulls. The two who were stabbed are ruled out. The assailant is currently in police custody.
UAB Police will handle the investigation.

UPDATE (3:14 pm): Defensive lineman Daniel Mincey was booked into Jefferson County jail on Saturday at 12:40 p.m. and charged with aggravated assault and attempted murder.
