Don’t expect to see UFC flyweight title contender Brandon Royval competing in the event that is scheduled to take place at the White House next year. In fact, based on the explicit rant he went on, ripping the event, he may not be fighting on many other UFC cards either.
In case you missed it, Dana White confirmed this past August that the UFC will be hosting an event on the White House lawn. It is ostensibly being hosted there as part of the United States’ 250th birthday celebration. It also just so happens to be scheduled to take place on Donald Trump’s birthday.
The UFC President has already committed to paying $700,000 to replace the lawn after the event. Numerous fighters have also hinted that they would like to be on the card, including Conor McGregor and Jon Jones. Brandon Royval is not one of them.
Brandon Royval hates the idea of a UFC event at The White House
“I don’t give a s— about fighting at the f—— White House,” Royval said on the In the Arena podcast. “I want to fight in front of big crowds, bro. It’s like, how big can the White House even have of a stadium? Is that s— outside too?
“I don’t give a f— about any of our political figures right now, and it’s like to fight in front of them seems like some f—— ‘Hunger Games’ type of f—— s—. I don’t give a f— to fight in front of some f—— billionaires and rich people that could give a s— less about me. Probably throwing parlays. F— you guys. I want to fight in front of people that are ‘Raw Dawg’ fans, or fans of MMA, and who can relate to me. I’m not trying to fight in front of these f—— a–holes. F— all these politicians, in my opinion.”
Brandon Royval, who is 17-8 in his mixed martial arts career, is currently ranked third in the UFC flyweight rankings. He is next scheduled to fight at UFC Vegas 112 against Manel Kape in December.
“I really don’t want to f—— go fight at the White House if I’m being honest,” he continued. “Also, I’m too Mexican-looking. ICE is suspiciously arresting mother f——, and I don’t know. Who knows, bro? Next thing you know, I’m in Mexico and I don’t speak Spanish.”
