Talking trash to UFC fighters online is probably not a good idea. Earlier this week, California-based UFC fighter Brian Ortega traveled to North Carolina to cash in on a bet against an online Fortnite friend who couldn’t stop talking trash to him.
According to Ortega, his online friend lost a bet and was now forced to get choked out by the UFC fighter after losing a game of Fortnite.
“A lot of people ask me, ‘Hey, play with me on Fortnite!’ Cool, cool. Only problem is, you guys be talking mad you-know-what,” Ortega said. “So I had a homie, an online homie, start talking mad smack. The real reason why I flew to North Carolina is because he was talking shit, we made a bet. I said, ‘Bro, I’ll fly over there and choke you out.’ Here he is. I showed up. I showed up to his damn job. Had to wait for him to finish his job, so now I’m going to choke your ass out. A bet’s a bet.”
Here’s the caption Ortega posted on social media alongside a video of him choking out the trash-talking Fortnite player.
“When talking crap on Fortnite turns into a real life lesson. For all my gamers out there, remember you never know who you might be playing with, respect to Emi for taking it like a man #GG #trashtalkgonewrong #fornite No one was harmed in the making of this video . Professionals only”
Ortega then choked out the fan until he passed out. The fan would later regain consciousness and flashed a peace sign to the camera.
