The Arkansas Razorbacks are in the market for a new football coach after firing Sam Pittman earlier this season, and while we don’t know who they’ll hire, we do know one person it won’t be.

Earlier this week, longtime Arkansas beat reporter Mike Irwin linked the Razorbacks to former Mississippi State and Florida head coach Dan Mullen.

Dan Mullen Clearly And Hilariously Shuts Down Arkansas

“There are two guys out there that would take this job without any conditions whatsoever. ‘Hire me. I’m comin’.'” Irwin said. “One of ’em is Bobby Petrino. And the other is Dan Mullen.”

Mullen, however, didn’t see things the same way!

“0.0 interesting in Arkansas,” Mullen said in reply to the video. Thanks for the shout out though. Y’all need to hire Gus Malzahn.”

Well, that’s one way to unequivocally take your name out of the discussion for another job. And hey, Mullen even had the decency to tell Arkansas who it should hire, name dropping Florida State’s current offensive coordinator and former Arkansas player/assistant coach Gus Malzahn.

One reason Mullen may not be interested in the Razorbacks job? Well, he might be a candidate for an even bigger position.

Earlier in the week, Urban Meyer linked Mullen, a Pennsyvlania native, to the vacant Penn State job after the Nittany Lions parted ways with James Franklin.

“How about Dan Mullen,” Meyer said on The Triple Option. “D— right he is (undefeated) … Scored 51 last week … And you know, he’s from the northeast, by the way.”

Mullen would represent a pretty surprise option for the Nittany Lions, who have seemingly already lost two of their top candidates for varying reasons. But you never know in college football, and it at least appears he won’t be headed to Arkansas.
