The UNLV Rebels are having a memorable football season. Despite losing quarterback Trevor Sluka to the transfer portal mid-season, UNLV is 8-2 and made its way into the AP Top 25 for the first time in program history. But when one fan tried to get in on the fun Saturday against San Diego State, he was left with an eye-watering tab for doing so.
The Rebels play their home games at Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders. According to professional sports bettor Bill Krackomberger, a friend of his attended Saturday’s game in a VIP Box. During the game, he and the others in the box decided to order pizza and chicken tenders for the group.
That was a bad idea.
Friend of mine had a VIP box for yesterday’s UNLV game. Ordered a pizza and wings. Never realized what it was going to cost for this slop…. $653…. They treat the luxury suite guests like they are in a club with bottle service.🤨😳 pic.twitter.com/E6GIJ3i5tZ

UNLV Fan Gets Stuck With Jaw-Dropping Bill For Chicken Tenders And Pizza
Krackomberger shared the receipt from the order. A single pepperoni pizza cost them $300, while a group order of chicken tenders cost $190. After a ridiculous “administrative charge” that added another $112 to the cost, the group racked up a tab over $600 for enough food to feed just a handful of people.
“Costco Pizza & Chicken Tenders as charged items for a box suite at a college football game is cracking me up. Completely unserious program and business model,” one fan said of the incident.
“Only a class action lawsuit will lower prices. $300 for a pizza at a college baseball game is theft,” said another.
Historically speaking, UNLV is one of the worst college football programs in the country. There’s not much in the way of fan support or a local fan base. And with stuff like this happening, it’s easy to see why.
What an absolute scam. Why would anyone ever go back to a game after this?
It’s a shame the blatant robbery will mar the game, which UNLV won to move to 8-2 and put itself in an outside position to make the College Football Playoff.
Update: While it’s not entirely up to date, we were able to track down the 2022-23 Allegiant Stadium suite menu Suitehop.com.
At the time, the chicken tenders were priced at $180 and supposedly feed 10 people. The only pizza option we could find was under the “subcontractors” heading. Evel Pie priced four pizzas, two cheese and two pepperoni, at $320. While the pricing it still insane, it’s hard to get mad when the prices are all available before ordering.
