There’s an interesting NIL story coming out of Las Vegas.

On Tuesday night, UNLV starting QB Matthew Sluka shockingly announced that he would sit out the rest of the season after a dispute with the school over promised “commitments’ that were not fulfilled.

“I committed to UNLV based on certain representatives that were made to me, which were not upheld after I enrolled. Despite discussions, it became clear these commitments would not be fulfilled in the future. I wish my teammates the best of luck this season and hope for the continued success of the program”

Local Fox 5 reporter Paloma Villicana reports that Sluka is transferring after being offered more NIL money by another school.

UNLV fans are angry, considering the team is currently 3-0 and has the potential to be a playoff team.
