USA Beats #1 Ranked Germany To Move On To Women’s World Cup Finals

The USA beat # 1 ranked Germany in a hotly contested game to move on to the Women’s World Cup finals.

The US dominated most of the first half while Germany made a strong push in the second but that wasn’t enough as the US scored two goals late to put the game away.

The first goal was a penalty kick from Carli Lloyd after a controversial call.

The second goal came in the 84th minute as Carli Lloyd showed off some beautiful footwork to get passed her defender and find Kelly O’Hara

Our forefathers would be proud.

The US faces the winner of the England-Japan game on July 5th.
