USC Football has turned a corner. After falling into complacency over the last few years, the Trojans hired Lincoln Riley in the offseason, landed their QB1 for the foreseeable future and have hit the ground running on the recruiting trail.

In an era where most if not all current high schoolers were not born when USC won its last national championship, it’s not easy to sell them on the glory that was in the early 2000s. It can be a supplemental factor, but not the factor.

As a result, like so many programs around the country, the Trojans have to pivot their strategy. With social media playing such a significant role in today’s recruiting climate, significant focus is being placed on image and marketability.

There is no better place to sell those to factors than the bright lights of Los Angeles. USC has been on the cutting edge of the trend over the past few years, especially in terms of NIL, but the results have not come alongside.

Now, with Riley overseeing the program and a bonafide superstar at quarterback, there is tangible hope for a quick rise to the top of college football. In addition, more than ever, and certainly in the last two decades, the school is pushing the Los Angeles narrative.

Over the weekend, USC held its ‘Junior Day’ on campus. Class of 2023 recruits visited the program and got a feel for the coaching staff, the program, and the school.

While there, like every other college football program nationwide, the recruits got to take photos and videos in the uniforms. From there, different from other schools, the Trojans’ video department put together a video from their visit that showcases the bright lights and storied history of stars in the City of Angels.

Take a look:

Jayden Wayne is a five-star defensive line prospect and USC rolled out the red carpet, literally. Now that the Trojans are back on the rise, the push to sell the city is back and Riley’s program has positioned itself as the best place to go to become a star.
