Vanderbilt is coming off of one of its best seasons in college football history. There is a lot of momentum on West End and the Commodores do not believe they are going to slow down any time soon.
Their newest wide receiver recruit is a freakish athlete.
Lebron Hill committed to play for Vandy over 18 other offers from schools like Louisville, Purdue, Kansas, Miami, Toledo, Kentucky and USF, among others. He is considered a top-100 wide receiver in the recruiting Class of 2025 as a three-star recruit who recorded 1,056 all-purpose yards as a senior at Morton High School in Indiana.
Although the 6-foot-5, 200-pound pass-catcher is going to play college football, Hill is also a standout on the hardwood. The senior small forward threw down a violent poster dunk in a dominant win against Hobart over the weekend.
His teammate missed a wide-open layup which put him in position to finish on the rebound. He certainly did! The Brickies’ defender could not feel Hill coming to sky over him from behind and got dunked all over. It was vicious.

Obviously, a sick high school basketball highlight against an inferior opponent has nothing to do with college football. That doesn’t mean Lebron Hill‘s talent as a hooper won’t provide an immediate impact to the Commodores on the gridiron. He immediately becomes one of the tallest wide receivers on the roster and, clearly, one of the most athletic.
Deigo Pavia is getting another weapon. And if we learned anything from his poster dunk, Hill becomes an immediate jump ball threat. Just throw him a lob and let him go up and get it!
Vanderbilt rarely has this kind of juice in athletics. Even though he is only considered a three-star recruit, Lebron Hill is going to be an immediate impact player for a team with legitimate hopes to take the next step in 2025 and beyond.
