The NFL and New York Governor Kathy Hochul made the controversial decision to postpone Saturday’s AFC Wild Card game between the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers due to extreme weather conditions.
A blizzard blanketed upstate New York with snow while wind gusts reached nearly 50 miles per hour. Though some fans still didn’t love the decision.
As it turns out, the league, the Bills and Hochul absolutely made the right move.

Buffalo shared a video from inside of Highmark Stadium on Saturday evening and the scenes looked like something out of post-apocalyptic movie scene.
Snow covered the field from end zone to end zone and visibility was nearly impossible.
Fans quickly acquiesced, admitting that the league made the right call.
Local/state leaders and the NFL made the correct call—and it still won't be perfect on Monday. https://t.co/2PvnIvv9Jn

Buffalo is set to unveil a new stadium in 2026. Yet, for some reason that stadium will not have a roof. Bold choice, Bills. Bold choice.
