Former volleyball player turned model Kayla Simmons should have been included in this year’s much hyped Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition.
Simmons, who played college at Marshall for four years, has publicly talked about her desire to grace the cover of SI’s famous swimsuit edition.

“I didn’t really aspire to be a swimsuit model,” the former Marshall University volleyball player recently told The Post. “I did some modeling when I was younger, and I loved going to the beach and taking pictures.”
“I love Sports Illustrated and being an athlete, and also doing what I do now, I thought it was a great opportunity for me,” “I love their brand and how they empower all body types and all women.”
Unfortunately Simmons hasn’t gotten the call from Sports Illustrated but she’s still killing it on social media.
On Tuesday, Simmons made her case to get recruited by Sports Illustrated by sharing bathing pics from her Hawaii vacation on Instagram.
