Baltimore Ravens defensive end Timmy Jernigan decided to change his number on Thursday from #97 to #99 to pay tribute to one of his heroes, Warren Sapp
Via ESPN.com
“I always grew up watching Warren Sapp, “I looked up to him. I definitely wanted to model my game after him.” “He was nasty, ferocious, he came every play,” “You definitely knew he was there and when he made a play. Another thing, he played down in Florida, too, so he was definitely one of the greats from our state.”
Timmy Jernigan has changed his number to 99 as a tribute to @WarrenSapp.

For whatever reason Sapp wasn’t thrilled with the young player’s tribute to him.

The Internet didn’t react kindly to Sapp’s response.
