We Wrapped A Cooler In Gold Vinyl And Challenged Philly Fans About Their Football Knowledge In THE QUEST FOR THE GOLDEN COOLER (VIDEO)

If there is one universal truth in football culture, it’s that Philadelphia fans travel. Birds fans don’t just travel to away games as much as they occupy them, much like Buffalo and Green Bay fans. I knew this because I am one of them.  So, when the Birds flew west to take on the Chargers at SoFi Stadium for Monday Night Football, we knew the “Sea of Green” would be out in full force.

Despite the tough loss on the field, the pre-game energy was unmatched. We decided to put that legendary Philly passion to the test with the inaugural BroBible Quest for the Golden Cooler.

The mission was simple: We took a premium Yeti cooler, wrapped it in glorious, shimmering gold vinyl to a place in Los Angeles called The French Wrapper (they’re French and they wrap cars… get it?), and wandered into the heart of the tailgate culture on a beautiful 75-degree Sunday Funday by the beach.

To take home the trophy, fans had to survive a gauntlet of trivia that ranged from “Introduction to Philly Folklore” to “Advanced heartbreak.”

WATCH HERE:

We started them off easy with the classics. Everyone knows who was talkin’ ’bout “practice” (The Answer, obviously), and every true Philadelphian knows exactly who got pelted with snowballs in 1968 (sorry, Santa).

But then, we separated the casuals from the die-hards.

You could physically see the PTSD kick in when we asked about the “Double Doink.” You could hear the collective gasp of disbelief when fans realized Carson Wentz—not McNabb, not Jalen Hurts—holds the franchise record for passing yards in a single season. It was a good reminder of a complicated relationship and parting of ways.

But we brought it back home with the legends: Ole St. Nick Foles and his seven-touchdown masterpiece, and the ultimate weapon himself, Brian Dawkins.

Check out the full video below to see who crumbled under the pressure and who walked away with the Golden Cooler.
