San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is one of the most freakish athletes in the history of sports, and seemingly only adds to that reputation with each passing day. This week, for example, a casual video of Wemby kicking a basketball out of a hoop went viral on social media.
Prior to the Spurs’ game against the Memphis Grizzlies on on Tuesday, January 6, Wemby could be seen doing a scisscor kick in order to break up a collection of basketballs that had formed inside the rim of the hoop.
While Wemby did it casually, it was a seemingly alien feat of athleticism that NBA fans have simply come to expect from the 22-year-old.

In the 106-105 loss to the Grizzlies, Wemby played just 21 minutes but still had a whopping 30 points (alongside 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block).
Wemby is allowed to do this during warmups but he can’t play down the stretch as the Spurs blow a lead because of a “minutes restriction.” Make it make sense! pic.twitter.com/NzQ9ZOtjWU
