We have already seen the month of March get off to crazy start in college basketball. Top seeds are dropping like flies in their conference tournaments. There has been a ridiculous buzzer beater to send Chattanooga to the tournament, a 3OT semifinal, and even a brawl at one final.
Now, the college basketball world is getting some madness that has occurred nowhere near the court. Today we learned that LSU has fired their head basketball coach, Will Wade.
Sources: LSU has parted ways with Will Wade.
Kevin Nickelberry will be the interim head coach.

The firing appears to come as a result of the NCAA sending LSU a Notice of Allegations that includes some pretty serious allegations against Wade.

Wade’s tenure at LSU comes to an end after nearly 5 years that saw him lead the Tigers to a ton of success. That success included an SEC regular season title and a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Wade finishes with a 105-51 record at LSU.
Wade’s last game as coach was a disappointment, with LSU being dominated by Arkansas in a 79-67 loss. LSU’s resume should still pretty easily put them in the NCAA tournament, but they will now have to navigate March Madness without the head coach that got them there.
