The WNBA social media admin might have wanted to think twice about using a popular Kendrick Lamar lyric for their latest Caitlin Clark hype video.
On Saturday, the Indiana Fever took on the New York Liberty in a nationally televised game on CBS.
Before the game, the WNBA’s social media channel used a lyric from Kendrick’s popular “Not Like Us.”
“Sometimes you gotta pop out”
Fans were shocked at the WNBA using the Kendrick line, considering that the full lyric is “sometimes you gotta pop out and show ni—as.”

Maybe the WNBA admin should have used a different lyric to showcase Caitlin Clark other than “Not Like Us.”
Update: The WNBA deleted the post after receiving backlash from fans.
@WNBA save that caption yall deleted for a deserving game cause i didn’t see nobody pop out and show anything 😭
