WNBA star Natasha Cloud is firing back at former NBA star Enes Kanter Freedon.
Last week, Cloud found herself at the center of controversy when she tweeted out that America is “trash” while reacting to the news of the Supreme Court rejecting race being used as a factor in college admissions.
Our country is trash in so many ways, and instead of using our resources to make it better we continue to oppress Marginalized groups that we have targeted since the beginning of times.
Black/brown communities& LGBTQ+ man we are too powerful to still be attacking issues separate”

After he comments went viral, Enes Kanter Freedon offered to buy Cloud a ticket to Russia, China, or North Korea.
“Just ask your colleague Brittney Griner how “trash” America is.
“Calling America trash huh?
Let me know when your season is over, I’ll buy your ticket and we can go together to counties like China, Russia, IRAN, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, & Turkey.
Forget about calling them trash, I would like to see if you can even criticize those regimes!!
You and your family members would be thrown in jail, tortured to death, and r–ed.
People have NO idea how lucky and blessed they are to be in a country like America.
I’m not saying America is perfect, but trust me, you don’t wanna see the other side.”

Cloud saw the former NBA star’s tweet and here’s how she responded.
I have respect for @EnesFreedom lived experience in his country. I would expect him to have the same respect for MY lived experience as a black gay woman in my country. You have no idea what it means to walk my journey or anyone else’s for that matter. https://t.co/YbPDodE4Al
