Being a famous athlete comes with plenty of perks as well as more than a few downsides, and that second reality was highlighted by a video of Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie being harassed by a woman who has now apologized for freaking out on the couple in a seaside town in New Jersey earlier this week.

Jason Kelce doesn’t have to worry about attracting the amount of attention his brother Travis is subjected to whenever the Chiefs tight end wanders into public with his significant other, but he’s still a pretty recognizable dude who can only do so much to avoid attention.

Earlier this week, the former Eagle was joined by his wife for a date night in Margate City on the Jersey Shore only for things to take a turn when they were accosted by a woman who got into a shouting match with Kylie Kelce, who accused her of being drunk and “embarrassing yourself” after she reportedly freaked out after they declined to take a picture with her.

It was safe to assume the woman in question was a local when you consider she told Kylie she’d “never be allowed in this town again” after she was spurned, although it didn’t take long for the mayor of Margate to confirm that is not, in fact, the case based on the formal apology he issued while inviting the Kelces back for a dinner he offered to pay for.

According to ABC6, the woman—identified as Andreé Goldberg, a former Goldman Sachs analyst who recently opened a chocolate shop in Wayne, PA—has decided to issue a public mea culpa of her own after privately apologizing to the Kelces with a statement that reads:

“My anger, and my actions, are not who I am, and certainly not indicative of the welcoming community of Margate.

As an adult and proud member of my community, I should have recognized and respected their right to privacy from the onset. I am deeply appreciative of the grace and understanding shown to me by the Kelces and wish them nothing but the best.”

That should bring this saga to an end.
