John Cena went out with a bang.
Earlier this week, Cena spoke about what fans could expect during his retirement match.
“It’s not about me stepping down. It’s about sports entertainment closing a chapter and also opening another one at the same time. It’s that last page in the chapter that folds into the next one. You get to see the future, but we’re also closing this 25-year thing.”
On Saturday, Cena faced off against Gunther and gave him some shine by allowing him to tap him out in his retirement match.
Fans in the crowd were shocked, onsidering Cena hasn’t been tapped out in a wrestling match in nearly over 20 years.

Fans in the arena apparently didn’t like the Cena’s ending and booed Triple H.
