TNA star Jordynne Grace has announced that her earrings are officially retiring from in-ring action after the second incident in under a month.
This time, Jordynne Grace had her earring ripped out while facing Roxanne Perez in an NXT Title match at ‘Battleground 2024’ and both lost the match and her earring when the gold hoop got stuck in Perez’s fishnet leggings and were spotted in camera. Back in May, Allysin Kay did something similar and even trash talked Grace after ripping off part of her ear.
Jordynne shared an update on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday morning and announced the official retirement of her ear piercings during competition. As you can see, her earlobe will require some healing:
Very sad to announce that after many years of unproblematic, diligent work, my ear piercings will now retire from in-ring action. pic.twitter.com/QjeoUUfsaH

This image from the match showed Jordynne Grace’s earring stuck in Roxanne Perez’s fishnets during the match:

It feels as if the blow of having her earlobe ripped in half would have been softened had she won the NXT Title match at Battleground 2024 but she lost both the match and her earring. And as mentioned above, a similar incident happened just a few short weeks ago.
Alyssin Kay was the culprit this time and instead of just letting it go she turned the injury into a trash-talking video that was shared by TNA Wrestling:

After two such incidents in less than a month she would be crazy to keep wearing earrings during matches. Retiring the hoops is the right move. Get some magnetic studs if it’s all about completing the look, just stop giving wrestlers the chance to rip your ear in half.
