Xander Schauffele is having a pretty good week. He found the extra great on Sunday and went on to birdie the 18th hole and win the 106th PGA Championship, his first major championship and 8th career win. His dub at Valhalla came with a cool $3.3 million for first place.

Once the dust settled, LIV rumors were squashed by his dad, and the cameras had stopped flashing, Xander was finally able to celebrate with Team Schauffele as they took turns chugging beer out of the Wanamaker Trophy.

Xander’s wife Maya Schauffele posted a vide on her Instagram of their crew taking turns downing beers out of the Wanamaker Trophy, a trophy that dates alllllll the way back to 1916 when it was first awarded to Jim Barnes who won the inaugural PGA when it was held at the Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville. It’s hard to imagine they were chugging beer out of the Wanamaker back in 1916 but Xander and Team Schauffele got after it:

The full video was posted to Instagram by Xander’s wife Maya but for whatever reason it can only be viewed in full on Instagram. Most of the video consists of celebration pics so you’re not missing much by watching the version that is being shared across X (formerly Twitter) by the PGA Tour and others.

Collin Morikawa’s wife wished them congratulations, saying “So proud of you guys!!! ❤️” The PGA Tour chimed in with those clapping hands emojis. Sahith Theegala’s girlfriend slid into the comments with “That’s epic!!! Congratulations🥳”

Everyone is stoked for Xander Schauffele finally winning a major, even Bryson DeChambeau.
