The New York Yankees fell a bit short while pursuing Juan Soto. On Sunday night, the New York Mets shocked the baseball world when they announced they were signing Soto.
According to MLB Network’s Jeff Passan, the Mets are signing Soto to a 15-year contract worth $765 million, the largest contract in pro sports history.

SNY’s Andy Martino reports that the Yankees were the frontrunner this afternoon, but things changed quickly.
