Yasiel Puig Knocked A Woman’s Front Tooth Clean Out Of Her Damn Head Throwing Her A Souvenir Baseball

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig, who recently returned to the big club after a stint in the minors, certainly made his presence felt during Tuesday night’s game against the Yankees.

And by “made his presence felt” I mean Puig knocked a woman’s front tooth right out of her head when he threw a baseball into the crowd for a souvenir.

Dodgers fan Alyssa Gerharter was in the stands for the game with a rare chance to see her team play and appeared to be having a good time.

The Dodgers even won the game 8 to 2 so she had good reason to be excited.

That’s when Yasiel Puig decided to launch the baseball he caught for the final out into the stands…

“I saw it coming at me and I remember thinking, ‘I don’t have a glove to catch this ball,'” Gerharter told the Daily News. “And I think I put my hands up in front of my face. I saw it was coming at me and registered that it was coming at me, and I felt it hit me. It wasn’t so much painful as it was shock. So I felt it hit me and I could feel immediately with my tongue there’s a hole. And I looked down at my hand and saw there’s a tooth in my hand.”

“Everybody was going after it. And I guess we all missed,” said Gerharter, who attended the game with a group of “30 or 40” Dodgers fans based in New York. “It was so fast that I don’t think it’s anybody’s fault for not catching it. In our whole group there was only one person who had a glove. So everybody was trying to catch it with their bare hands. I caught it with my face.”

As for the Dodgers, the incident hasn’t sapped her fandom. She’s unsure if Puig was aware that the ball connected with her face because “everything happened so fast.” It wasn’t until she got into the ambulance that panic settled in.

She seemed to be in good spirits about the whole thing though, even thanking the Yankee Stadium staff for all their help following her beaning.

Gerharter has a dentist appointment set up for today with the hope that the re-inserted tooth will fuse with the bone and she won’t have to go with a fake model.
