Zach Wilson will always support BYU over Utah. He made his Holy War allegiance abundantly clear during the opening weekend of college football.

The former No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft showed up for the Cougars after refusing to rep the Utes!

Wilson, recently named as the third-string quarterback for the Broncos, will return back to Denver after spending the weekend in the Beehive State. There were a few different reasons for his trip home over the long weekend, and college football was one of them.

Isaac Wilson is the youngest of four Wilson brothers. He did things a little bit differently than the other three. They all played at BYU. The four-star quarterback recruit is a freshman at Utah, which also happens to be his parents’ alma mater. Mike, the patriarch, met Lisa while playing for the Utes in the early 1990s.

The entire family grew up as fans of the state’s flagship university. However, their allegiance flipped when head coach Kyle Whittingham refused to offer Zach a scholarship— so the oldest three Wilson brothers played for the Cougars.

Isaac Wilson broke the mold. Utah expects him to succeed Cam Rising as the starter next season after winning the QB2 job outright as a freshman.

A large Wilson contingency pulled up to Rice-Eccles Stadium on Thursday for the youngest son’s debut. Zach refused to support his college rival while watching his brother and wore neutral colors to lay low.

That was not the case on Saturday night!

Zach pulled up to watch BYU beat up on Southern Illinois. He made it very clear that he will always cheer for the Cougars and looked so much happier in Provo than in Salt Lake.

Zach Wilson was snubbed by his favorite college football team as a recruit and will never root for them again. Only his brother!
