Puma Teams Up With Sega To Release Official ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ Sneakers

Sonic The Hedgehog originally debuted in 1991 on the Sega Genesis and nearly thirty years later he’s finally getting his own signature sneakers. Puma is apparently collabing with Sega to release a variation of their Puma RS model, a running sneaker from the 1980’s, for the console mascot.

Today during the Sonic the Hedgehog panel at this year’s SXSW event, Sega announced that it would be teaming up with clothing company Puma to release a line of Sonic the Hedgehog apparel.

Although Sega did not go into full detail as to what type of Puma x Sonic gear would be released, what we do know is that a limited-edition pair of shoes, the PUMA x SEGA RS-0 SONIC will launch sometime this Jun

Puma went on to release the promotional trailer for the Puma x Sega collab on their Youtube page.

Looks like we’ll have to wait till June to see what the sneakers actually look like. Hopefully these shoes are better than those old Sonic branded SOAP shoes from back in the day.
