‘Breaking Bad’ Cooked Up Some Pretty Sick Ratings

AMC scored big in the ratings war with the Season 5B premiere. JESSE, WE’LL COOK ON PEOPLE’S TELEVISIONS.

Walt and Hank’s bone-chilling confrontation was watched by 5.9 million viewers, a 102 percent increase from last season’s first episode. That’s pretty damn good.

And now a word for those in advertising.

Breaking Bad also surged in adults 18-49, jumping 87 percent from last summer's season premiere with 3.6 million viewers in the demo. Adults 25-54 also saw gains, rising 81 percent to 3.3 million.

Definitely a fun and productive night for all involved. Except Carol, of course. She’s still a little shaken up about the whole thing.
