These Are The Five Best Westerns You NEED To Watch On Netflix Right Now

When you say “western,” I think of an old-timey black and white movie where stock audio is used for gunshots and everyone speaks in stilted clichés, like “This town ain’t big enough for the two of us” and “Ride along lil’ doggy.”

That may have been true in the early 1900’s, but today’s westerns are sleeker than that – look at Django for instance. You look at a movie like Django and think “Quentin Tarantino,” not “Shitty-looking movie with dudes on horses.” And even some of the other movies on this list, like The Man Who Shot Liberty Wallace, may be old, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t stood up the test of time in terms of acting and plot quality.

Tl;dr: Not all westerns are created equal.
