This Special Robert De Niro Edition Of ‘Celebrities Reading Mean Tweets’ Is CLASSIC De Niro

Robert De Niro appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and somehow Jimmy convinced him to participate in a special edition of ‘Celebrities Read Mean Tweets’. De Niro is one of the greatest actors Hollywood has ever known, and this means he can’t approach ‘Mean Tweets’ like the rest of the jabronis in Hollywood, he has to inject some De Niro into the role.

My major takeaway from this clip is that Robert De Niro 1) hates technology and 2) thinks that anyone using Twitter is a nerdy kid living in their parent’s basement. He seems to harbor nothing but contempt and disdain for anyone that uses social media, and I can only assume the reason for this is because he’s old as hell. Seriously, De Niro’s 73 years old…When did that happen? I still think of Casino like it was 10 years ago but that film came out 22 years ago.

He’s just signed on to co-star in The Irishman directed by Martin Scorcese, a movie that Netflix reportedly paid over $100 million to secure the rights to. Appearing alongside Robert De Niro in The Irishman will be Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, and Bobby Cannavale. This is already one of the most highly-anticipated films in years and the ink on the contracts has barely even begun to dry.
