Smart phones have all had practically the same design for years now, but back in the day flip phones ruled the tech world. Now the only person you’d see with a flip phone would be your nana rocking her Jitterbug cell phone. But Samsung is throwing it back to the 2000s because they are reincarnating the flip phone with their newest handset called the Leader 8. This modern-day RAZR features a clamshell design, but it is updated with all of the latest hardware and a slick construction.

The Samsung Leader 8, previously known only by its model number SM-G9298, is an Android-based flip phone that features a dual-display – one on the front and one on the inside. Both displays are Full HD Super AMOLED screens, and the front display provides users with quick information such as the date, time, and call reminders.

Inside the Leader 8 is a speedy Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a 2,300 mAh battery. The flip phone boasts a 12-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera as well as rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The handset also supports wireless charging.

Once you flip the phone open, you see an actual control pad surrounded by actual buttons and an actual keyboard Crazy. But before you get too excited for copping this nostalgic handset, it has only been confirmed for release in China so far. Samsung has yet to announce the price for the Leader 8. Long live the flip phone.
