Bank Robbers Try To Pull Of Heist Completely Wrapped In Aluminum Foil And Of Course Their Reasoning Is Ridiculous

Two bank robbers in Brazil completely covered themselves in head-to-toe aluminum foil for an early Saturday morning raid on the Banco do Brasil branch in Praia Grande. Police said the duo believed “their improvised outfits would beat the bank’s alarm system and stop it from sounding.”

Umm…it worked.

“They wanted to make sure the alarms didn’t detect their presence by using the aluminum foil,” a spokesman for the Santa Catarina state’s military police told Brazilian national newspaper O Globo.

Astonishingly, the robbers’ plan appeared to work.

But, as their cloaks didn’t allow Harry Potter-style invisibility, the hapless pair was still captured by the bank’s surveillance cameras.

So did police grab the two men dressed as Jiffy Pop pans. Nope, they high tailed it out when cops arrived. They ended up leaving the scene with nothing but a ton of tin foil wrapped around their asses.
