Ten years ago, Jeni Stepien’s father was murdered. His death, though, saved another life, as doctors were able to give his heart to a man in need of a transplant, Arthur Thomas.
Thomas and Stepien have kept in touch over the years, and at her wedding, she asked him to fill in for the man who saved his life by giving her away.
“What a greater honor could a person have than walking the daughter of the man who’s given his heart to him?” Thomas said.
“The whole family is here now,” said the bride. “It’s like everybody is here.”
The world can be a beautiful, beautiful place. And, remember, be an organ donor. Saving a life is such a Bro thing to do.
