John Cena Rips Donald Trump’s ‘Reprehensible’ Anti-Muslim Rhetoric On ‘Good Morning America’

John Cena stopped into Good Morning America to promote his new movie “Sisters,” which costars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and his upcoming reality show “American Grit.”

The conversation shifted into the political sphere, namely addressing the elephant in the room: Donald Trump’s recent proposal to ban all Muslims form entering the United States.

Cena chimed in and took the opportunity with millions watching to slam Trump’s ludicrous proposal, stating that Trump’s scheme does not jive with America’s DNA.

Quoting Cena,

“He is bold, he is brash, this is bold, and this is brash. I’m with you, I don’t know how it works out. The last time we did anything like this was in World War II, and that was one of the more reprehensible acts by the United States of America. “We are the melting pot, except for you.” That does not go along with our DNA. Trump is being trumped, there’s no other way to say it.”

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
