You know how you might have a gambling problem? If you bet someone that you can eat $1,000 worth of McDonald’s food in 36 hours. Which is exactly what pro poker player Mike Noori attempted recently. It did not go well for him, as one can imagine.
According to CardPlayer.com…
California poker pro Mike Noori over the weekend began an attempt to eat $1,000 worth of McDonald’s (not including drinks) in 36 hours. The idea for the prop bet came from Poker Hall of Fame nominee Matt Savage.
After 10 hours into the bet, Noori had only consumed $90 worth of the fast food, according to a Twitter update. The bet was eventually aborted at around the $100 mark, according to tweets. Some commentators called the effort “pathetic,” but Noori was apparently already struggling just 10 percent of the way through the bet.
What is pathetic is the fact that people actually wagered on such an event.
On the positive side, Noori reports that he raised $14,000 for charity thanks to his attempt.
On the negative side, this video of him attempting to force down all that Mickey D’s including $50 worth mashed-up apple slices …
Understandable.
