Did you know that weed is legal in Washington D.C., but that selling it without a license is illegal? That’s right, you can smoke and be in possession of weed within the district but you can’t obtain it by exchanging money. If someone wants to donate an ounce to you for free then that’s completely fine, but if that someone charges you $5 (in my dreams a quarter costs $5) for it then you’re breaking the law.
As you can see, these laws are stupid and make very little sense, but if it’s the kind of backwards shit we’ve gotta put up with in order to legalize weed across the country, well, I guess we deal with it for a little while longer.
