Chad Johnson Pleaded For An NFL Coaching Job On Twitter And He’s Actually Getting His Wish

Longtime NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson is the absolute king of Twitter—and this latest stunt only proves that.

Johnson, who persistently pleaded on his account over the past few months for a coaching gig one of his former coaches, Hue Jackson, and the Cleveland Browns, is actually getting his wish, as the team invited him to their practice facility.

According to Cleveland.com, the team has officially announced Johnson will be in attendance once training camp opens on July 28th:

Johnson will not be there in any official capacity. Instead, similar to what head coach Hue Jackson has done with some of the Browns’ alumni, he will be there to informally work with a group that includes four 2016 draft picks.

And while Johnson didn’t get his exact wish of actually joining the coaching staff, in the past, he has given quite the endorsement of the Browns head coach, per Cleveland.com:

He was a gem for me and I am speaking a gem, g-e-m. He was a gem for me in really allowing me to see the game of football differently when he was in Cincinnati. Allowing me to flourish as a receiver. I know in Cleveland things didn’t go as well as everyone would like. With Hue coming in and coming on board, being able to get the maximum amount of potential out of each player is what I know is going to happen because he was able to do it with me. I am sure he will be able to do it with them.”

Who knows if this will actually work, but as one of the best wideouts of his generation, the former Mr. Ochocinco should at least be able to help the Browns’ paltry receiving game in some positive capacity, right?
