Last week, former boxing champ Paulie Malignaggi left Conor McGregor’s camp after the Irishman’s team leaked an image of Malignaggi getting knocked down to the ground. An angry Malignaggi took to Twitter and ripped Conor for days.

Nah I pretty much talked shit that whole sparring session while I beat the breaks off him, the push down was his frustration from it. https://t.co/m0IDBP0pB2

On Friday night, McGregor was asked about Malignaggi’s exit and he claims Paulie was badly concussed after their sparring sessions and was just looking for a way out.
“He was looking for an exit. The spars were not good for him. He took a lot of head trauma. The sparring partners were actually telling us that he was stumbling out of the car after a 12 rounder. We were worried about him, he was certainly badly concussed. He showed up he tried his best it didn’t go as well, he got his ass whooped and he wanted a way out. What a better way for a guy like him to exit under a load of question and mysterious.
During the media session McGregor denied leaking the picture but was willing to release the video of the knockdown if need be.
