Ealier this week, FS1 host Kristine Leahy got into an explosive confrontation with LaVar Ball on Colin Cowherd’s “The Herd” which led to Ball yelling at her and telling her to “stay in her lane”.

Since then we learned that LaVar was angry at Leahy after she criticized his parenting and questioned whether Lonzo and his brothers were “terrified” of their father.

Yesterday, Leahy spoke with Cowherd on “Speak For Yourself” and said that she was getting death threats after her confrontation with LaVar Ball.
“I think I’m gonna talk more about this later on ‘Speak for Yourself,’ some of the other issues that have come up,”. “Now I’m getting death threats, so, I’ll leave it at that.”
Leahy went on to defend her comments on Ball’s parenting and hopes the network will stop bring back LaVar for appearances.
I never accused anyone of child abuse. That is a very, very serious issue. I would never go there,” he said.
“Have some respect. Don’t threaten me. Don’t make personal jokes. Don’t mock me. And don’t say you’re not going to look me in the eye. If he wants to come on and look me in the eye, and be respectful, he can still disagree with me. I’m OK with that. But I will not tolerate what he did yesterday,”
“I think the reason so many networks choose have him on is because he says a lot of controversial things. He’s loud and a big personality. Which I’ve been totally fine with. But I hope that yesterday showed who he is. And that we stop putting him on all these networks just to get controversial statements out of him.. I think there’s no place for that in TV — no matter what kind of ratings you’re going to get
It just seems like everyone is in the wrong in this situation. Leahy was wrong for bringing up Ball’s parenting, considering LaVar is a strong presence in his son’s lives and that they have been successful up to this point. LaVar of course was wrong for talking to Leahy in a disrespectful manner. Hopefully these two can hash it out and apologize to each other but it doesn’t appear that’s going to happen anytime soon.
