The New England Patriots attempted to run out the clock in the second quarter of today’s Jets-Pats game as they were up up 20-0 with 38 seconds left on the clock. Jets coach Todd Bowles had different plans and wanted to prolong the quarter by calling a timeout after the Pats picked up a first down.
This apparently pissed off Bill Belichick who proceeded to line up the Pats in the shotgun and started taking deep shots at the end zone from their own 25 yard line with less than 40 seconds left in the half.
The Pats eventually were able to a score a touchdown and I’m guessing Todd Bowles learned his lesson to not fuck with the GOAT.
