Goddammit. As tough as it has been to watch Tiger Woods recently, I would rather watch him play like shit because he lost his game than see his career go down in flames because of a back injury that he just can’t shake.
Today, Woods sent out this tweet saying his will not be playing at the Genesis Open.

Here is his statement from the post on his website, which also states he will not be playing in the Honda Classic.
“My doctors have advised me not to play the next two weeks, to continue my treatment and to let my back calm down,” Tiger said. “This is not what I was hoping for or expecting. I am extremely disappointed to miss the Genesis Open, a tournament that benefits my foundation, and The Honda Classic, my hometown event. I would like to thank Genesis for their support, and I know we will have an outstanding week.”
Hopefully this is a minor setback in his comeback, but you have to be skeptical given how shitty his back is. Get well, Tiger.
