Twitter Was Absolutely Ruthless In Mocking LaVar Ball After He Cost His Son A Major Shoe Deal

LaVar Ball’s proclamation that his three son’s will sign a $1 billion shoe deal looks to be a pipe dream, as Nike, Under Armour & Adidas passed on Lonzo Ball after LaVar insisted on them licensing Big Baller Brand. LaVar said, “… we aren’t looking for an endorsement deal. We’re looking for co-branding, a true partner.” As you can imagine, this frustrated the big brands, so much so that veteran Nike exec George Raveling said LaVar Ball is “the worst thing to happen to basketball in the last hundred years.” GULP.

The Twitter caught news that three major brands passed on cutting a deal with a potential top-5 pick, they were predictably ruthless. Here are some gems:

Laugh now, folks. Only a matter of time before the Ball family gets PAID.
