Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater Cries Tears Of Joy On Sideline In First Game Back From Horrific Knee Injury

Before today’s Vikings-Redskins game, Vikings QB Bridgewater was seen wiping away tears on the bench, in his first game back after nearly losing his leg to a gruesome injury in practice.

It’s been a long road for Bridgewater who he suffered a horrific injury in practice right before the start of 2016 season and according to NFL network’s Ian Rapoport Teddy has been playing very well on the practice field.

Spoke to someone who has watched him practice the last few weeks: “Practiced well and looks good.” Back to his old self

Bridgewater was active on Sunday for the Minnesota Vikings but stayed on the bench while Case Keenum started.

After the game Bridgewater discussed his emotions before today’s game.

“It was definitely tears of joy thinking about everything that I’ve had to overcome in these past couple months

“Just running out of that locker room, being able to stand next to those guys on the sideline for the National Anthem, it just all boiled up,” he said. “I kind of screamed on the sideline after I said my prayer in the end zone. Then when I got on the sideline, I was like, ‘Man, this is really about to happen.'”

“It was great to watch the guys go out there and put up 38 points. It was great to cheer guys on.”

While Keenum has looked good the past few weeks it would be pretty awesome to see Bridgewater go out there and play in a game after everything he’s been through.
