If you said a Victoria’s Secret model won the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie of the Year, you’d be right, but which one of the six was it? Was it cover model Lily Aldridge? Or the cute as a button Chanel Iman? Or perhaps even Marloes Horst? Nope, nope and nope. It was none other than Sara Sampaio. Not a bad selection in my book.
Sara was the first-ever Portuguese model to appear in the SI Swimsuit Issue, and now thanks to what I assume was some serious voting in Portugal she’s also the first Portuguese SI Swimsuit Rookie of the Year. Once you check out her Rookie of the Year video above it’s pretty easy to see why she won. She’s quite a doll.
