LeAnn Rimes’ new album ‘Spitfire’ tanked, because of course it did

LeAnn Rimes’ new album Spitfire didn’t do real well in it’s first week, selling just under 11,000 copies. I guess that’s what happens when all of your focus is on going to Twitter War with the ex-wife of the guy you took from her.

Despite getting pretty good reviews, LeAnn Rimes album Spitfire debuted at number 36. Perhaps the fact that she and her husband Eddie Cibrian had an affair when they were both still married, and then proceeded to play the affair out publicly online for years and years (and still to this day) turned a few of her fans and potential fans off. Rimes even wrote a song about the affair on Spitfire called “Borrowed.” Let it go already.

Remember when she was hailed as the next coming in country music and won the Best New Artist Grammy? Me either.

At least LeAnn claims she isn’t thrilled with her past behavior, saying she was “disgusted with myself and thought [she] was pathetic.”

We couldn’t agree more.
