The U.S. Naval Academy Trolls Notre Dame By Schooling Them About The Time The Navy Saved Their School

On Saturday, the undefeated U.S. Navy Midshipmen take the field at Notre Dame Stadium to battle against the fighting Irish. While many big programs treat games against the service academies as a non-conference write-off, Annapolis is amped to play a team coming off a tough loss at Clemson.

To prepare for the game, U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen Rylan Tuohy dropped another fantastic spirit spot in the vein of his troll job on the Air Force Academy. It’s a history lesson that many Notre Dame fans are probably unaware of: The Navy more or less bailed out Notre Dame during World War II. The school struggled financially to stay open with decreased enrolled from the war. Then the Navy swooped in with $487,000 to bail the school out in return for an officer education program.

Bro move, Navy. Then again, acts of selflessness like that is what makes the military academies the most Bro schools in the land.
