Alex Pereira’s ex-girlfriend, Merle Christine, has apparently been waiting for him to lose. Last year, Pereira revealed that he had broken up with his longtime girlfriend after he said he learned that she was married to another man.
“It’s a little hard to talk about this because, for me, I already deleted this person from my life,” he said on the “Full Send MMA” podcast. “I would also like to ask my fans to also delete her from your life.
“It was a person I believed, I put her in my house, together with my family. After all I found out, she was married.”
Merle, who hosts the MMA podcast “Fightology,” denied Pereira’s claims.
“Lol hurt man inventing whatever,” she wrote, adding a bunch of crying-laughing emojis.
“How can I be married and moving to the states lol.”
On Saturday night, Pereira lost his light heavyweight championship title fight against Magomed Ankalaev, and Merle celebrated on social media.
