50 Cent has spoken out and is defending why he has consistently and publicly called out Sean Combs, AKA Diddy, over the years for what he saw as abuse.
“Look, it seems like I’m doing some extremely outrageous things, but I haven’t,” 50 Cent told People in a new interview. “It’s really me just saying what I’ve been saying for 10 years.”
50 Cent has never been shy about mocking or trolling Diddy anytime something bad happened to him, especially when it involved Combs potentially being in trouble with the law.
“Now it’s becoming more full-facing in the news with the Puffy stuff, but away from that, I’m like, ‘Yo, it’s just my perspective because I stayed away from that stuff the entire time, because this is not my style,” 50 Cent continued.
50 Cent is also the producer behind a documentary about the sexual assault and trafficking allegations against Diddy that has reportedly started a bidding war.
“This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far,” 50 Cent and director Alexandria Stapleton said in a statement.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives. While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”
In March of 2024, 50 Cent and his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy got into war of words after a lawsuit claimed she was one of Diddy’s sex workers.
When the lawsuit was announced, 50 Cent shared an image of a court document which stated, “Mr. Combs had hidden cameras in every room of his home… has recordings of several celebrities, artists, music label executives, and athletes engaging in illegal activity… these individuals were recorded without their knowledge and consent… Mr. Combs possesses compromising footage of every person who has attended his freak-off parties and his house parties.”
50 Cent wrote in the caption to the post, “Smh this is gonna be so good, what you want to bet I’m a get these tapes. I’ll pay top dollar for them, you been over there? I don’t go to puffy party’s [sic].”
