Oppenheimer has become such a phenomenon that even Aaron Rodgers, who is in the midst of his first training camp with the New York Jets, found time to see it.

Speaking to Peter Schrager of NFL Network, Rodgers not only shared his review of Oppenheimer — which he believes he would’ve enjoyed more if she saw it at 6 p.m. instead of 9 p.m. — but revealed which of Christopher Nolan’s movies is his favorite.

“I thought it was great — if I would’ve watched it at 6 o’clock in the evening, I probably would’ve loved it. Because it was 9 o’clock, I really, really liked it. I’m a huge [Christopher Nolan fan],” Rodgers said.

Despite his recent obsession with cosmic geometry or whatever, Rodgers didn’t pick Interstellar. His recent heel turn didn’t lead him to pick something like The Dark Knight, either. Instead, Rodgers said that his favorite Nolan film is 2006’s The Prestige.

“I’ll tell you what my favorite Christopher Nolan movie is: The Prestige. It’s incredible. Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, Michael Caine — fantastic movie. I’ve seen that like 50 times. I love that movie.”

To be clear, the surprise I feel over Rodgers picking The Prestige has nothing to do with how I personally feel about the film, as it’s actually my third of Nolan’s movies after The Dark Knight and Interstellar.

Rodgers certainly isn’t alone in his appreciation for Oppenheimer, as the film crossed the $400 million mark during its second weekend at the box office, making it the second-highest-grossing R-rated biopic of all-time, behind only American Sniper, whose $527 million is a benchmark that Nolan’s latest film will surely pass in the coming weeks.

It’s a shame that Rodgers hasn’t seen Barbie, though, as his review of that movie would certainly be more compelling.
