Alan Ritchson, fresh off of beating up a dude in real life in self-defense, stars in the new trailer for Runner, an action-thriller alongside Owen Wilson. Runner will be released in movie theaters on September 11.
Just weeks after Alan Ritchson went massively viral for beating up his Tennessee neighbor Ronnie Taylor in self-defense, the trailer for his new movie Runner has been released. Runner is an action thriller set in Australia in which Ritchson plays Hank Malone, a former soldier working as a high-end courier who has three hours to transport a liver from Brisbane to the Gold Coast. Alongside Ritchson, Runner also stars Owen Wilson as Ben Bishop, who hands Malone the cooler at the top of the film and explains: “There’s a little girl that’s very sick, and you’re delivering her new liver.”
Naturally, if she doesn’t get the new organ in time, she won’t survive. Seems simple enough, until cartel show up trying to steal the liver and it’ll fetch $1 million on the black market. You can check out the official synopsis and trailer for Runner, via Angel Studios, below.

In addition to Ritchson and Wilson, Runner also stars Rodrigo Santoro, Leila George, Adriana Barraza, Sullivan Stapleton, Peta Sergeant, and Geraldine Hakewill.
Runner is one of a few projects that Ritchson will star in this year, as he’ll also be featuring in Season 4 of his his Prime Video series Reacher and alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Christmas action comedy The Man with the Bag.
