There is dedication to your job and then there is this Amazon delivery driver who didn’t let something like a police standoff get in the way of fulfilling his duties.
In the video, the Amazon delivery driver can be seen approaching an apartment complex that is surrounded by multiple law enforcement agencies, vehicles and hundreds of police officers.
Not showing even the slightest hint of fear, he hands his package to one of the SWAT team members, snapping a photo to confirm its delivery, and walking off on his merry way.
“Amazon hard at work,” the person who filmed the video can be heard saying. “In the midst of a standoff, he’s going to deliver his package.”
The wild scene occurred in the Raleigh, North Carolina area and was reportedly a more than 20 hour long standoff.
“Look he’s taking a picture!” the person shooting the video added. “It made it there! When you serious about your work. Go Amazon! Bro!”
The gunman who caused the scene ended up taking his own life and shooting his 11-year-old son. Luckily, police were able to retrieve the boy was eventually sent home from the hospital with other family members.
Someone claiming to be the Amazon delivery driver wrote in the comments of the TikTok video that “it was either deliver the package or get fired.”
“More scared of Jeff Bezos than getting taken out,” someone else commented.

“When I first saw this on my news feed, I instantly related. During the early days of Amazon delivering in Seattle (even before flex) we were encouraged to deliver the package no matter what. I would often hop fences, plead with people to let me into apartment buildings, etc. We would get the most unforgiving scenarios and there was no opportunity to explain why something couldn’t be delivered, it was just a number against the other numbers. So I can relate, I would have done the same thing,” another person wrote on YouTube.
