Applebee’s has been on an earned media tear since October. But all good things eventually repeat themselves, just like the plot to every Hangover movie. Every month since this past October, Applebee’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill has offered a cheap drink option to get butts in the seats. It started with Dollaritas six months ago, then progressed to $1 Long Island Iced Teas, followed by deals on riblets, Bahama Mamas, and $2 vodka lemonades.
The well of good well-drink marketing stunts has finally run dry. Applebee’s is repeating themselves this month by bringing back $1 margaritas for the month April.
If it ain’t broke…
Reminder that an Applebee’s bartender kinda, sorta put their own company on blast for the promo, alleging that the $1 margs are mostly $1 marg water concoctions. Whoops.
That said, I don’t know what you expect if you’re the type of person who goes to Applebee’s and expects a fancy $1 marg. Middle Class Fancy will always have the last laugh on the subject…
